Why everyone keeps coming back.

Located on the charming Calle Buendía in Las Negras, Almería, X Tela Marinera offers a modern culinary journey that beautifully melds local flavors with inventive fusion techniques. This restaurant has quickly become a noteworthy spot for those seeking a sophisticated dining experience with a twist, showcasing seasonal and high-quality ingredients artfully transformed into visually stunning plates.

The cuisine here is an inspired blend of contemporary Mediterranean and Spanish coastal traditions, elevating classic seafood dishes with creative touches. Among the standout offerings, diners rave about the prawn croquettes, which deliver a satisfying crunch and creaminess, as well as the vieira with sweet potato purée—a harmonious dance of textures and tastes. The innovative bao buns add an exciting flair to the menu, while the pulpo (octopus) dish, though subject to some debate with its unexpected purple purée accompaniment, still highlights the restaurant’s commitment to artistic plating and bold flavor pairings. And don’t miss the legendary cheesecake, often praised as a must-try for a luscious, decadent finish.

The atmosphere at X Tela Marinera blends trendy modernity with a welcoming warmth. Guests often note how the restaurant fills up quickly, a testament to its quality and reputation—a buzzing spot where solo diners and groups alike can enjoy attentive service and conviviality. The staff’s dedication to accommodating dietary restrictions, such as gluten-free and vegetarian needs, elevates the overall experience, making everyone feel genuinely cared for.

While some might find that certain portions lean toward the delicate side—especially given the “para compartir” (to share) label—others appreciate the curated tasting style that invites exploration and discovery with every bite. Prices represent a fair balance between quality ingredients and culinary craftsmanship, providing good value for those eager to savor inventive seafood dishes paired with a diverse selection of beers and wines.

For a true taste adventure in Las Negras, where intriguing flavor combinations meet impeccable presentation, X Tela Marinera invites you to indulge your senses and embrace a dining experience that goes beyond a simple meal—it’s a memorable gastronomic celebration that will inspire you to return time and time again.

Quite a highly rated restaurant but i didn’t feel it was worth 5 stars. This is due to the menu being a lie. It says “para compartir” meaning to share yet the portion size is not even substantial for one person. They charge 18 euros for the dish above (pulpo). The pulpo came with some purple pure which I didn’t feel added to the dish and was quite a strange pairing. Pulpo is better served with lemon on its own. However, the scallops were cooked to perfection and the sweet potato pyre worked really well for that dish but again you cannot state they are mains to share. The lotus cheesecake is absolutely to die for and it’s genuinely the best one I’ve had in my entire life. It is not to be missed. Would come back but only for cheesecake. You can find better value for money elsewhere.

Full-filled our expectations. Modern cuisine, very well presented and explosion of flavors. Recommend the prawn croquette, vieira with sweet potato puree and the bao buns. Don’t forget to order their cheesecake, amazing. It’s a must-do. Also good service and well located. Good price quality.

It was an empty restaurant at 8.00 and full by 9. Don't be put off by this. Food was excellent. A fusion menu and all well served and good quality seasonal products. The waiter was fantastic he really went out of his way to help we had a gluten free and a vegetarian in the group. Also arranged a taxi lift home Was the best food experience we had in the area.

Absolutely amazing food and even better people! I highly recommend it, whether for a drink and a quick bite, or for a full on fancy dinner. We found it by chance during our holidays, and ended up going again and again, even though we lived in a different village. Will definitely visit again.

Situated just around the corner of the beach in an alley you will find something really different from the usual paella's and fried fish. Here you will have modern cuisine, surprising dishes and flavour combinations and fresh local products. It's great, bold and yummy and yes, its still in a good price range. Also, the owner, the staff, are very very friendly. And... Dog friendly!
